Going to Ryerson & Moving

I got some great news last night. I worked a late shift (until midnight) and came home to find an acceptance letter from Ryerson to their MBA in the Management of Technology and Innovation program! I had a hard time getting to sleep after, but I’m super happy that I’m in. I’ll be studying part time because I want to continue to work full time.

Also, Allen and I are moving next month. No major change though, we’re going right across the street from where we are now. Our landlord is selling our condo, so we needed to find a new place to rent. We like the area we’re in right now, so we found a new apartment nearby. The new place is a bit bigger and once again we’ll be the first tenants living in it.

And… I’m flying up to my hometown of Dryden in Northwestern Ontario this Saturday for a nine day visit. Well, technically I’m flying to Winnipeg then driving to Dryden, but anyway, if you’re a friend/family member in the area, I’ll see you this weekend! I’m bringing my snowkite gear, so please keep all the snow and ice intact for now. :)

    Thanks Joel! I’m looking forward to hearing your MBA tips when you’re done in June. I heard you did the best in class on an assignment, congrats! I’m up in Dryden. Let’s visit when I’m back and in the new apartment. We’ll have one less traffic light to cross each morning when we move, so I guess we’ll be closer. ;)

    Hi,

    First of all congratulations on getting acceptance from ryerson.

    I got accepted for the same program (MBA-MTI) and I was just searching online for the program and i found your blog. Actually I was bit confused about the program, cause as you know its new as compared to schulich and rotmans. But obviously the positive points are thr too

    So i just wanted to know your opinion, what do you think..I mean like is it worth it?
    When will you be joining May?? or sept??

    I can’t wait to start the program at Ryerson. I did my undergrad at York so I didn’t want to go to Schulich and I checked out Rotman, but I really wanted to be part of Ryerson’s Media Management specialization so I went for it. I start in September this year. 8)
